Rose looks a blooming great wager

Sports Betting: ENGLAND’S Justin Rose can repeat his US Open victory of 2013 when he tees it up in this year’s tournament at Chambers Bay, Washington, starting tomorrow.
Rose, beaten in a sudden-death play off in his last event in America, is peaking at just the right time and there is every reason to believe this course will suit him better than his main rivals.
Rose boasts good form on links courses such as Chambers Bay, while favourite Rory McIlroy is more hit and miss, despite winning the Open in benign conditions last year. New sensation Jordan Spieth may need more experience on this type of track before getting involved down the stretch on Sunday.
Rose is a 20-1 shot with Paddy Power, who are offering each-way on the first six places and, given the Englishman’s consistency, this looks a cracking bet to me.
One player who seems to have slipped under the bookies’ radar is recent BMW PGA Championship winner Byeong Hun An. The South Korean followed up his victory at Wentworth with a prominent showing in the Irish Open so he can clearly handle links conditions.
The 23 year old was the youngest winner of the US Amateur title in 2009 at the age of 17 and also reached the semi–finals of the same event the following year – at Chambers Bay.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Justin Rose, e.w. 20-1 (Paddy Power); Byeong Hun An, e.w. 80-1 (general).
