FORMER Hulme Grammar School pupil Nicola White retains high hopes of winning a medal after the Great Britain women’s hockey team edged closer to the semi–finals with a 3–0 victory over Belgium.
GB need a draw against China tomorrow to reach the last four.
Goals from Ashleigh Ball, Laura Bartlett and Crista Cullen clinched yesterday’s win, which keeps them top of Pool ‘A’ .
IT was a night to forget for Royton’s Joe O’Regan.
Great Britain’s water polo side lost 13-7 to USA and the 21-year-old could play no further part in the game after collecting a third major foul late in the first half.
