Pablo Zabaleta is convinced Manchester City are heading for Europa League glory.

The Argentinian defender was part of the Espanyol side that lost to Sevilla in the UEFA Cup final in 2007.

And he feels City can fulfil his dream of picking up a winner's medal in the re–branded competition.

Roberto Mancini's side are in sight of the round of 32 as they look to complete the double over Red Bull Salzburg at Eastlands tonight.

City aim to step up to the Champions League next season, annd Zabaleta claims the Premier League title is not out of reach.

He said: "We have a chance as Chelsea and Arsenal have been dropping points.

“We have great quality in the team and need to be positive this season.”

Yaya Toure could come into contention tonight after missing the draw against Stoke with a migraine, while Emmanuel Adebayor is expected to recover from a groin problem.

Mancini believes December could indicate whether his team has a realistic chance at a title bid.

City will play seven matches in December – five in the league – and 10 games in different competitions in the next six weeks.
