KICKED FOUR GOALS...Scott Leatherbarrow
Oldham RL 16, Dewsbury 20
OLDHAM RL went down to bottom-four rivals Dewsbury Rams in a close encounter at Bower Fold tonight.
The result means only one point now separates three teams, Dewsbury in 11th, Swinton, who lost to Featherstone Rovers, and the Roughyeds, who are ninth. Bradford Bulls are 12th and bottom.
Oldham led 12-6 at half-time with tries from Danny Grimshaw and Michael Ward. Scott Leatherbarrow kicked both goals.
Leatherbarrow notched two penalties in the second period, but Dewsbury added to their first-half try from Dale Morton when Aaron Ollett and Gareth Moore went in after the break.
Crucially, Paul Sykes landed four goals as the Rams condemned Scott Naylor's side to a seventh straight loss.
