MICHAEL WARD . . . second-half try against Halifax
Oldham RL 12, Halifax 30
OLDHAM RL slipped to a sixth consecutive defeat in the Kingstone Press Championship - despite tries from Scott Turner and Michael Ward.
Trailing by half-a-dozens at the break, Scott Naylor's Roughyeds side hit back in the second half at a sweltering Bower Fold.
Turner and Ward dived in - Scott Leatherbarrow added two goals - but Oldham were unable to prevent Halifax from returning to West Yorkshire with maximum points.
Will Sharp (two), Brandon Douglas, Brandon Morris and Elliot Morris went over for Fax, with Steve Tyrer notching five goals.
