Kompany targets new goals for City

VINCENT Kompany wants Manchester City to finish the season on a high by securing Champions League qualification and reaching the FA Cup final.
Pep Guardiola conceded City's bid for the Premier League title was over after a 2-1 loss at Chelsea saw his side slip 14 points behind the leaders.
Kompany hopes fourth-placed City can now claim a European Cup place for next term and reach the FA Cup final with a semi-final victory over Arsenal on April 23. Chelsea and Tottenham are in the other semi-final.
Kompany said on mancity.com: "Regarding our position, it will be: fight until the end for us. Out of something, there is always a new target.
"Our target is Champions League and hopefully getting to the final of the FA Cup."
City's at-times inconsistent Premier League campaign continues with a home game against in-form Hull tomorrow.
Midfielder Fabian Delph wants an undefeated run in the remaining eight games.
City must start turning draws into wins, though, as they are winless in the last four Premier League games.
Delph said: "I'd like the team to go unbeaten from now until the end of the season.
"We've got a mini league for us now and it starts with Hull (on Saturday). Every game is a big game."
Delph made his first Premier League start of the season while captain Kompany his first since November and third of the campaign.
The Belgium defender completed 90 Premier League minutes for the first time in a year.
He added: "It wasn't the easiest game to get back into but what I would say in terms of advice to younger players is: I could have stood back and moaned and complained that I wasn't playing but I never did.
"I worked very hard for that one opportunity and within the conditions that were available to me, I was helpful to the team. That's what I wanted to do."
Delph has also had to bide his time due to injuries and non-selection. Both Delph and Kompany were praised by Guardiola for their displays on Wednesday.
