City capable of overcoming best

IT WAS terrific to see Manchester City back at their best at West Brom as they destroyed the home team 4-0.

It was just a brilliant team performance as City played some fantastic football and scored some great goals.

The man himself - Sergio Aguero - looked unplayable at times, and a result like that will certainly give the team a huge confidence boost ahead of tonight's Barcelona game.

Some people said that West Brom weren't very good on the day, but they were simply outplayed thanks to City's pressure game and forward momentum.

So it does mean that City's Champions League match tonight is set up beautifully.

Of course it's a huge game, and it's one City are more than capable of winning.

I think the 4-0 result at the Nou Camp flattered Barcelona the other week.

In the first half City played well and created a couple of chances.

I must admit I'd be incredibly surprised if Aguero doesn't start tonight's game.

He can cause Barca major problems.

It's a big match in the context of the group, though I don't think it's absolutely vital City beat Barca.

Depending on the other result a draw may well be okay.

I think the really big game will be the away fixture at Borussia Monchengladbach. Win that and I think City will definitely go through to the last 16.

City ought to be fairly confident of winning tonight, though.

It'll be another full house at the Etihad Stadium and there's going to be some atmosphere in there.

Barca will take some stopping, but City have the players capable of beating any team on the planet.
