DR KERSHAW'S Hospice has opened a new shop in Oldham.
A tea party attended by the mayor and mayoress of Oldham marked the official opening of the shop in Albion Street this month.
The store, which sells homeware, bric-a-brac and good quality clothing, is open to residents between 9.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Saturday.
Lisa Pearson, income generation manager said: "It's great to have a presence in Oldham town centre.
"We're the Oldham hospice so it makes sense to have one of our shops in the centre of town.
"The feedback has been extremely positive so far and our volunteers are loving working in such a bright and airy space.
"The move to this shop heralds the last of our shops to move to new premises and we hope that the Oldham shop follows in the wake of the others by increasing its footfall and profitability as a result."
Shop manager Darren Hunt and the Oldham shop volunteers also relocated to Unit 10 on Friday, September 16.
First and second hand items on sale include a range of men's and women's clothing, including jackets, t-shirts and trousers, shoes and handbags.
Many of these are donated by residents from across the borough to support the hospice.
The new site joins existing shops in Lees, Shaw, Royton and Chaddertons.
