FABULOUS fundraisers . . . the Christie Allsorts are gearing up for their latest charity push
THE Christie Allsorts are staging an evening of entertainment, auctions and fundraising at the Roaches Lock in Mossley.
The group - seven friends predominantly from Saddleworth and Mossley who are passionate about fundraising for The Christie - get to work on Saturday, September 17.
Difference
This year's project is to raise money for The Christie's new Proton Beam Therapy Suite which will make a massive difference to patients who currently have to travel overseas (predominantly Switzerland and America) for treatment.
Thwaites Brewery has created a special beer clip "BEAM" - and over the full weekend of September 16-18, 50p per pint will be donated back to the fundraising cause.
Among the live entertainment, from 7pm, are local duo Backstage Pass, while raffle prizes include a Smart TV, Chrome laptop and a mountain bike.
Auction prizes include a signed Manchester United ball, signed Sergio Aguero shirt from Manchester City, framed and signed Paul Scholes shirt and a limousine trip to Blackpool illuminations.
