The listed and derelict Hartford Mill
FIREFIGHTERS were called out to the abandoned Hartford Mill to put out a blaze yet again yesterday.
Crews from Oldham, Chadderton and Hollins tackled the fire at 8pm caused by rubbish being dragged into the mill and set alight.
Firefighters have had to attend the mill, on the Freehold/Chadderton border numerous times in the last few days, despite repeated warnings that the building is in a dangerous condition.
Holes in the floor and massive drops make it hazardous for trespassers and firefighters alike.
