TALENTED young musicians from across the borough harmonised yesterday for the fourth annual Oldham Music Centre Summer Festival.
Held at Newman College, the event saw around fifty different performances as over 900 of Oldham's young performers hit all the right notes once again.
The festival saw choirs, pop bands, brass bands, wind bands, swing bands, rock bands and much more all perform at the Chadderton school.
The fun started at 10.30am and ran right through until around 7.30pm.
Gerard Booth, Oldham's director of music, said: "The previous festivals were all spectacular successes and it was an easy decision for us to return to Newman College again for a fourth year running. The festival hopes to provide something for everyone and it is our aim that entire families will be able to get involved and have a great day out whilst enjoying the enormous range of high quality musical experiences on offer.
Mike McGhee, Newman College headteacher, said: "It is a great privilege for Newman College to be associated with this event for the fourth successive year and to make available our fantastic facilities.
"Yet again, the Oldham Music Centre and the Families and Friends association deserve a great deal of credit for planning this year's festival."
