£44m funding for school repairs

SIX Oldham schools are among 108 across the North-West which will receive a share of £44.1 million for vital building repairs and extensions.
The amount individuals schools will receive has not been revealed. But in Oldham two secondary schools, one special school and three primaries will benefit.
Hathershaw College will be able to replace a flat roof and carry out safety work, Crompton House School have a new boiler and remove asbestos, and New Bridge Special School will have its roof repaired.
Fire safety work and heating repairs will be carried out at Richmond Primary School, heating repairs at Alt Academy, and Westwood Academy will get new windows and re-pointing.
