PROUD . . . Brody showing off his moves at Fierce Dance
A SIX-year-old street dancing sensation is now the best in the country after winning a national championship.
Brody Hibbert, originally from Shaw and now living in New Moston, popped, locked and freestyled his way to a winn in the Under 6 Beginners Street Dance Competition held in Stoke.
Brody, who attends St Luke’s Primary School in Chadderton, has been street dancing since he was three and attends Royton-based Fierce Dance Oldham every week.
In December he came second in the regional International Dance Teachers Association heats, which put him into the national competition.
His mum, Fiona Hibbert (43), said: “The dancers can use any moves they like. Brody made the final five and then he was picked as overall winner, which means he’s the best in the country. I was so proud of him and I’m glad he is doing something that he really loves.”
