JOINT effort (l-r): Animal Rescue Oldham volunteer Tracy Thornton, Louise Peacock from Homey Pet Food, and Animal Rescue Oldham manager Rod Smith launch the initiative to encourage the community to help feed its animals.
Charity Animal Rescue Oldham has hit on a paw-fectly innovative way to raise cash to help feed its homeless pets.
The group has teamed up with Homey Pet Food to make it easy for animal lovers to make donations to the Yorkshire Street-based rehoming organisation.
When ordering pet food at the Homey Pet website, the company donates a week’s supply for one of the animals at Animal Rescue Oldham.
Charity chairman Rod Smith said: “It costs us several thousand pounds each year to run our rescue centre and if the public assist us with this new initiative they can help us remove a major cost.”
Go to www.homeypet.net for more information and enter the rescue code PVA318 when you order to make a food donation to Animal Rescue Oldham.
