WRESTLING returns to Oldham’s Queen Elizabeth Hall this weekend — with a big name from America topping the bill.

The American Wrestling event on Saturday has a line-up headed by superstar Bram – one of the Total NonStop Action stable of US wrestlers. Bram – real name Thomas Raymond Latimer – hails from Derbyshire, but now lives in Florida.

Having begun his career as a UK wrestling referee, he swapped sides and became a wrestler in 2002, later featured on the WWE wrestling circuit until 2012.

His ring nicknames have varied over the years, including; “King of Hardcore”, “The Human Hate Machine” and “The Chesterfield Plague”.

Wrestling promoter Ian McGregor said: “Bram is obviously a big name in wrestling and we’re delighted to have him on the bill. Over many years of shows in Oldham attendance has been fantastic and with Bram performing on Saturday, we are expecting a big turnout again.”

Also on the bill is Moorside wrestler and fan favourite Clinton “Rocky” Steele, plus exhibition fights and a concluding “Royal Rumble”.

Tickets are available at the door or by calling the Box Office on 0161-770 4083.
