Four police stations to be sold
Date published: 28 January 2016
SOLD: Failsworth Police Station
FAILSWORTH and Mossley police stations are among four that will be sold off in the next few months.
In November we reported that up to six police buildings across Greater Manchester might go to save £100,000 in running costs. Police at the time believed selling stations in Failsworth, Northenden, Radcliffe, Ramsbottom, Mossley and Plant Hill in Blackley could fetch over £700,000.
Failsworth station will be auctioned on February 25 and Mossley on April 21.
Police says there will be no impact on local policing in the areas affected; some stations, including Failsworth, are already empty
