RAIL officials have promised a passengers’ action group there will be new developments in their fight to improve local services.
The announcement came after Greenfield Rail Action Group (GRAG) put their questions to Owain Roberts, a rail service officer with Transport for Greater Manchester.
The group quizzed him about service frequency, reliability and the planned electrification scheme.
Mr Roberts told the group that with a new franchise from this month and a Rail North management structure launching in April, developments are on the horizon.
Another concern raised at the meeting was a possible six-month closure of Oldham Road while electrification works are carried out by Network Rail at Greenfield.
