The candidates speak: James Daly, Conservative

Conservative Candidate James Daly
I have met many local people and made new friends during this campaign while out and about telling people about my plan for Oldham, Chadderton and Royton.
For too long, local politicians have taken the area for granted. The Labour council has let fly-tipping and littering get out of control. People tell me that they feel as though the area has been left behind.
I have a clear, three-point plan on issues that really matter to the local community.
Working with local police to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour, better public transport and more investment and cleaning up our streets.
Nationally the Conservatives have shown we can deliver, we have put the economy back on track. Since 2010, the number of people in work in Oldham West and Royton has increased by 1,700, while under Labour those in work fell by 2,800.
You have a chance to vote for real change and support a candidate who has demonstrated he cares about local issues and has a plan to tackle them. UKIP has shown it has no experience and no plan to tackle the important local issues.
A vote for Labour is a vote for the same old Labour that has not worked for Oldham for the last 30 years. It means no change on housing, no change on crime and no change on our high streets. At this election, if people want change and real opportunity vote for me.
