Paige and Olivia to have hair chopped for charity
THESE kind-hearted sisters will be saying goodbye to their beautiful long locks.
But Olivia (nine) and Paige Whitehead (10) are not sad to see their hair go.
That is because the girls, who attend Limehurst Primary School, are getting stylish bob cuts and sending their hair to the Little Princess Trust, a charity which provides wigs and hair pieces for children who suffer hair loss due to cancer treatment.
They have received £30 on their JustGiving page but around £400 from friends at school, smashing their target of raising £200 for Cancer Research.
Idea
Proud mum Cheryl (34), who works at a nursing home, said: “They’ve wanted to do it for over two years. I thought it was a phase at first.
“I tried talking them out of it because I thought they’re too young. But they’ve not changed their minds.
“It was their idea, it was all from their own thinking. They watched a programme on children going through chemotherapy and said they wanted to do this. I think it’s a great idea.”
Olivia and Paige will be having their hair cut by Limeside hairdressers True Colours on Saturday at Oldham Rugby Club in Bardsley.
