20s ball raises huge £27,000

MAHDLO are celebrating after raising over £27,000 at its annual winter ball.
The Egerton Street Youth Zone was transformed for a spectacular 1920s-themed celebration at the weekend.
Guests, patrons and staff enjoyed a night of fundraising and entertainment in aid of the youth zone, complete with performances from Mahdlo members Phoebe Hunt (13) and Sal Mohammed (17).
Claire Crossfield, Mahdlo’s development manager, said: “It was an amazing night yet again and I would like to thank our generous sponsors, donors and guests for supporting us at this year’s winter ball.
“It was great to see everyone having such a fantastic time and to raise over £27,000 for Mahdlo is just wonderful. We are already planning next year’s event!”
Thanks were given to Team Spirit who sponsored the room decoration on the night, as well as Safeguard Group, The Stoller Charitable Trust, Web Applications UK, David and Janelle Barker, Arighi Bianchi, Oldham Athletic, RBS Property, Greengate Metal Components, Hayneswood Engineering, JW Lees, KW Automotive and North Ainley Halliwell.
