AN explosive fireworks display wowed crowds at last night’s Big Bang Bonfire Night celebrations.
Thousands dodged the drizzle at Oldham Edge for an “Out of this World” space spectacular hosted by DJ Elliot Eastwick from Revolution 96.2.
The excitement got underway with a fun fair as giant illuminated jellyfish puppets from Thingamajig Theatre and the thunderous sounds of Oldham-based Brazilian band Juba do Leao thrilled in the dark.
Things hotted up further with the jaw-dropping fire-eating show from The Fire Man.
The climax of the night was a spectacular show from Fantastic Fireworks, 2015 British fireworks champions.
Becky Millar, of Coppice, said: “It was worth risking the weather to see such a fantastic display of fireworks and some really good entertainment. The children have absolutely loved it.”
