OUT of order . . . a Mercedes driver parks on the pavement
MOTORISTS continue to cause chaos on Union Street.
Since trams returned to Oldham in early 2014, drivers have often parked stupidly, selfishly and in some cases illegally
Union Street has been a problem for Metrolink, with trams stopping regularly because vehicles block the track.
One of our photographers caught two cars blocking the road. The tram was forced to stop - but the offending cars moved after a beep of the horn. Shortly afterwards, the driver of a white Mercedes decided to take no risk - and parked illegally on the pavement instead.
