A BUYER is being sought for an Oldham firm forced into administration
Swirl Products, which trades as FMCG, continues to supply retailers and its nine staff remain in work while administrators talk to potential buyers.
The company trades from premises in Pass Street and creates brands including Head Funk, Nuage, Salon Chic, Systeme, Active Handwash and Swirl Household. Products include personal care and household products, sold through high street retailers
Two partners from FRP Advisory have been appointed as joint administrators and they hope to sell the company in the next few weeks.
A statement said FMCG had performed well but had suffered an acute cashflow shortfall following the sale of some shares in September. Financial pressures forced FMCG into administration to allow the business to continue trading.
Russell Cash, joint administrator, said: “There is already interest in FMCG. This comes as no surprise because the business commands a leading presence in branded personal and household care products.”
