Joe, a tenor, has just celebrated 50 years with the Saddleworth Male Voice Choir. At a recent rehearsal members and wives celebrated 84-year-old Joe’s golden anniversary.
Over the 50 years, Joe has performed in 600 concerts and has notched up almost 50 performances of Handel’s Messiah - which the choir sings every year.
Joe has enjoyed tours to Germany, Holland, Slovenia, Spain, Gibraltar and Italy. Choir president Malcolm Hill presented him with an engraved glass plaque.
