New tastes on tap at Saddleworth beer bonanza
Date published: 29 September 2015
A spectacular line-up of brews and ciders will be on offer at the popular annual Saddleworth Beer Festival this week.
The event at Uppermill Civic Hall runs on Friday (6pm-midnight) and Saturday (noon-midnight), and organisers have an array of more than 20 favourite beers as well as new brews and ciders from local and regional breweries.
The favourites include Jaipur, Mary Jane from Ilkley Brewery, Python from Crag Vale, Plum Porter from Titanic and Butterley beer from Ossett Brewery.
There will also be brews from Greenfield Brewery, Millstone, Hawkshead Brewery and Holmebridge, alongside drinks from the Real Cider Company at Crag Vale.
And this year, the event will test a new key-keg system on beers from Magic Rock and Hand Drawn Monkey to see the response from drinkers.
The system stores and serves beer from a disposable keg rather than a traditional cask.
