REVELLERS flocked to Delph’s 10th anniversry Party in the Park on Saturday.
Acts included Sally Mitchell, Mike Sweeney and the Thunderbirds, The Fantastic, Delph Band, and tributes to One Direction and Take That. And the event ended with a proms finale with Delph Band playing as a firework display lit up the sky.
Money for the Wake Up Delph organisation, which runs events for the village, was collected throughout.
One of the organisers, Phil Beckwith, said: “It is a big task for villagers like us in Delph to put on an event like this. It all started to raise funds for Christmas celebrations in the village but we have carried it on and it has grown bigger and bigger and now it’s a great annual event.”
