SADDLEWORTH Food and Drink Festival is to be held on the weekend of October 10-11 at Uppermill Civic Hall from 11am-4pm on both days. Entry is free.
LYDGATE Band is holding a flea market at Uppermill Civic Hall on Sunday, September 27, from 10am-3pm. Entrance is 50p with accompanied children admitted free. A few stalls are still available — call 01457-873 048 for further details.
ANYONE aged 50 or over is invited to join Age UK for a scenic stroll every Tuesday from 2pm. The dementia-friendly strolls will take place in Uppermill with the group meeting at the side of Warburton Court, just off Uppermill High Street, and take a short route finishing back at Warburton Court.
THE Saddleworth parish of St Chad is holding a charity coffee morning on Saturday, October 3. Held at St Chad’s Parish Centre, Station Road, Uppermill, the event will begin at 10am to raise funds for the Genesis Breast Cancer Appeal. Entry is £1 per person.
THE 10th annual Delph Party in the Park is this weekend. Held at Delph Cricket Club tomorrow from 3pm, the event hosts a number of music acts and ends with a fireworks and Proms finale.

AN array of motorbikes will be on display at the annual Road Wizards MCC show and fun day at Saddleworth Rangers’ rugby ground, Shaw Hall Bank Road, from 11am-4pm on Sunday. Proceeds to the club’s chosen charities.
