Date published: 11 August 2015
A WOMAN who admitted stealing a bed, a fridge freezer and a table has been given a 12-month community order and must undertake 60 hours of unpaid work.
Rebecca McGladdery of Warrington Street, Lees, pleaded guilty to the offence during a hearing at Oldham Magistrates’ Court. The 48 year old sold the items, worth up to £175, for £40. But the items, in her father’s house, belonged to Shirley Tunnicliffe, McGladdery’s father’s partner of over 11 years.
McGladdery was also ordered to pay £160 compensation, £150 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
A 12-month restraining order has also been imposed preventing McGladdery from contacting Ms Tunnicliffe.
