Dreamers night to relive the past
Date published: 04 August 2015
A one-off club night will celebrate the one-time Oldham night-club that recently starred in the Coliseum’s musical Dreamers
The party, at the Candlelight Club on August 21, follows the huge success of the Coliseum production back in June, written by Dreamers regulars Cathy Crabb and Lindsay Williams.
The real nightclub closed in 2000 and the building has been demolished.
Dreamers…The Resurrection will give clubbers a chance to relive the Yorkshire Street venue’s glory days, with the original DJs playing floor-fillers from James and the Stone Roses.
Len Withy, who founded the nightclub more than 40 years ago, said: “It’s going to be a chance to meet lots of old friends.”
