GOING in: police get in through the front window of a house in Westwood
POLICE made 14 arrests in dawn raids across Oldham as part of a crackdown on drug dealing.
Officers raided 12 addresses in Coldhurst and Westwood early this morning as well as homes in Leeds and Chester.
The strikes were the final phase of Operation Plumbline, which targeted heroin and crack cocaine dealers.
The group has been arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs. Police have seized heroin and cash. The arrests follow raids in April and June, which followed months of investigation by Oldham’s organised crime team and serious crime division. A total of 36 arrests have now been made.
Inspector Paul Walker said: “Operation Plumbline has taken months of intricate planning and dedication by a large team of officers from across the force.”
