A THIRD shooting on the Chadderton border with North Manchester has been reported in little more than 24 hours.
POlice were called to a house in Kilmane Avenue, Blackley, at 10.20pm yesterday where they found gunshot damage to a door and window.
Police say it is too early to confirm if the shooting is linked to two similar incidents on Wednesday.
The front door of a house in Moston Lane East was damaged by gunshot on Wednesday night. A similar incident ocurred in Colindale Avenue, Blackley, shortly after 7pm the same day. Witnesses saw two masked men fire at the house before fleeing.
The first man was wearing a white hoodie and shorts. His accomplice, carrying a gun, was wearing a back hoodie and shorts. No one was injured during the three incidents.
Superintendent Marcus Noden said: “Understandably the incidents have caused a lot of concern locally.
“I want to reassure people we believe these properties were targeted and there is no immediate threat to the wider public.
