GEORGE and Mary Marsden won’t be lonesome tonight when they celebrate their golden wedding anniversary.
Elvis fanatic George met Mary in their local pub and was all shook up from the start.
The couple, who now live in Hollinwood, have one son Anthony (47) and two grandchildren Jessica (25) and James (21).
Keen gardener George worked as a supervisor for British Gas while Mary was an auxiliary nurse on the district in Oldham and was once a finalist in the British Care Awards.
George, who used to impersonate Elvis around town centre pubs, has passed his love of the king down his family and even visited Graceland with his wife.
Mary revealed the secret to their burning love, she said: “We’ve certainly had our ups and downs but tolerance and give and take have held us together.”
The pair, both keen crown green bowlers and be will celebrating their anniversary with friends and family.
