Badge of honour

THEY are snapped up by collectors around the world — and now Harrison Radcliffe has designed a pin badge for Hard Rock Cafe.
Fifty pupils at Radclyffe School were asked to come up with an idea for a badge to be sold in aid of the charity Forever Manchester.
And musician Harrison won the competition with his treble clef featuring the charity’s infinity logo and a castle to represent Manchester’s 10 local authorities.
His badge will be available in the chain’s Printworks restaurant in Manchester and online — and is sure to be a hit with people who collect badges from Hard Rock Cafes around the world.
The Chadderton secondary has linked up with the Manchester restaurant on previous projects and design and technology teacher Jennie Edwards said: “We are very proud that they judged Harrison’s design good enough to be produced for sale. The competition was a great opportunity for students.”
Harrison efforts were rewarded with a framed souvenir of his design and a slap-up meal at the restaurant.
