A MAN involved in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine was jailed at Minshull Street Crown Court.
Emmanuel Richards (36), of Union Street West, was sentenced to four years after he pleaded guilty to supplying Class-A drugs.
Richards was arrested on April 30 as part of Operation Plumbline, launched to crack down on drug dealing in Oldham, in a series of dawn raids at 15 addresses.
The raids came after months of investigations by officers from Oldham’s Organised Crime Team and Serious Crime Division into the distribution of heroin and crack cocaine in Oldham.
Insp Paul Walker, of Oldham police division, said: “This sends out a message to organised criminals from Oldham that this is what they can expect if they are involved in dealing drugs on our streets.
“Drugs cause widespread destruction to users and have a wider impact on the community and we will never give up on our fight against this type of crime.
“Communities have told us that they want drugs and drug dealing tackled across the borough and I hope that this continuous action highlights how seriously we take these crimes.”
