OLDHAM Carnival is boasting the best line-up in its proud history this year with the Oldham Tinkers headlining the event in Alexandra Park on June 14.
“This year we have a great line-up,” said director Paul Davies. “We’ve secured a great mix.”
The Tinkers, celebrating their 50th anniversary, will also headline the Saddleworth Folk Weekend on July 18-19.
Performing alongside them in Oldham will be one of the region’s up-and-coming reggae bands — Jeramiah Ferrari — who recently supported UB40 on tour.
Run Out the Guns and Chloe Jones will add a dash of folk music to proceedings while the main rock band is Oldham-based Blackballed.
