Fiona Liddy: ready to rumble for charity
FIONA Liddy won’t be pulling her punches when she swaps Alexandra Park Junior School for the boxing ring this weekend.
The school’s business manager will show off her skills in three, two-minute rounds to raise money for The Christie hospital, Manchester.
Fiona is taking part in the Pink Collar boxing event at the Britannia Hotel in Stockport on Sunday at the end of an eight-week boxing training programme for women. The competitors are raising money for different charities.
“It started off as a bit of fun but it is getting very competitive as we get closer to the event,” said Fiona
Pupils at Alexandra Park raised £500 with a cake sale and raffle and her current fundraising total is around £1,050. To sponsor Fiona visit www.justgiving.com/fiona-liddy.
