CHAMPION: Matt Boyd
A CHADDERTON bodybuilder has stormed to victory in his first British championships.
Matthew Bowd (28) made his bodybuilding debut in front of a home crowd at the Middleton Arena and took the title Mr Athletic Class 1.
But the former physical training instructor to the Army’s Special Forces isn’t stopping there and has set his sights on success in the International Mr Universe competition.
Matt said: “It is a great honour to become a British champion. My aim is now to prove to people that I can compete on the world stage.”
Matt is due to make his TV appaearance too: as a gym instructor on Coronation Street.
