Dai Bradley: Dobcross date
THE star of iconic british movie “Kes” is to make a special guest appearance at a charity screening of the film in Dobcross.
Dai Bradley, who played Billy Casper in the film, will answer questions from the audience when the film is shown at the Swan Inn, Dobcross on Sunday.
Proceeds from the event will go to the PC Nicola Hughes North Pole Marathon appeal.
Mr Bradley has given his time to help the fund, and the owners of the film have waived their public performance fees so all the money raised can go to the charity.
Mr Bradley - who changed his name from David - was 14 when he starred in Ken Loach’s iconic film of dispossessed youth, released in 1969.
The evening will support Bryn Hughes, who will run in the North Pole Marathon in memory of his daughter and her colleague Fiona Bone, both murdered on duty.
The events starts at 7.30pm; tickets from the pub.
