OLDHAM Council celebrated another successful 12 months for its Early Years Professional Network.
The group, which brings together child carers from across the borough, celebrated the network’s second anniversary with a bash at the Swan Meadows Day Nursery in Delph.
Coming together to ensure childcare in Oldham is of the highest possible standard, members of the network often share their expertise, skills and knowledge.
Councillor Jack Hulme, Cabinet Member for Children and Families, said: “Improving the qualifications and status of the childcare profession is really important in raising standards of service and ensuring that Oldham’s children get the best quality care available.”
The idea behind the scheme is to offer opportunities to share new ideas and champion achievements.
The number of people achieving qualifications in early years child care is growing rapidly in the borough, and the network is open to those with qualifications or those who are working towards them.
