POLICE have released this e-fit of a man who sexually assaulted a teenage girl.
The 17-year-old victim was walking along Oldham Road at the junction of Hardman Street, Failsworth at 8.40pm on Thursday, November 4, after getting off a bus.
She noticed a man was following her and he asked her for directions.
The man continued to follow and talk to her until he hugged her. She tried to break free but he tightened his grip and touched her inappropriately. She managed to break free and escape.
The man is described as being Asian, 5ft 3in tall, aged 25-30, and of stocky build. He wore a dark-coloured beanie hat and a black zip-up jacket.
PC Andy Pickering, from the Failsworth and Hollinwood Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “The victim was left shaken after her ordeal and luckily, she managed to escape.
“While I don’t want to worry parents, it is advisable that young people are accompanied by an adult or stay within a group, especially during the darker nights.”
