A MUSICAL superstar from Oldham has taken his unique mix of genres all the way to Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London.

Farhaan Aamir Shan, (18), known as Faz, performed his genre-defying mix of beat boxing and classical violin at the landmark venue as part of the fifth anniversary celebrations of the Arts Awards.

One of a handful of performers, the talented teen took to the stage at the glittering event to celebrate the national qualification gained by more than 40,000 young people.
The audience was dazzled by Faz’s ability to quickly swap between producing hip-hop beats and playing his own original music on the violin.

The ambitious teen, who has already completed his bronze Arts Award at Peshkar Productions theatre company in Oldham, is now working towards his gold and has even composed music for his first play, “Northern Dust”.

He said: “I’m thrilled to have been involved in this fantastic event and urge young people who are interested in Arts Award to get involved.”

A taste of the celebrity lifestyle even beckoned for Faz as he was interviewed by tv favourite Ben Shepherd after his show-stopping performance.
