Jason Whitehead . . . appealing for the return of vital coursework
A desperate student is appealing for a thief who stole valuable course work to return the folders.
Jason Whitehead (21) lost a complete year’s work for his Higher National Certificate (HNC) in chemistry when his car was broken into at the Centre Retail Park in Royton.
Jason, who works as a laboratory technician at Molnlycke at Mumps, left his Citroen Saxo car locked when he went to the DW Fitness Centre on April 26 at about 4.30pm.
But when he returned 90 minutes later a thief had broken in and stolen his rucksack containing thefolders off the back seat.
Also taken from the glove box were his sat-nav, mobile phone and wallet containing £100 and his cards.
Jason, from Mendip Close, Royton, says it is vital he gets the course work back: “It was a big plastic folder with five files inside.
“It represents all the assignments which I need to pass my first-year HNC before starting the second year in September. It is vital I get it back.”
Jason has already passed his Ordinary National Certificate after studying at Trafford College, and says the HNC is vital to promotion and new jobs.
He has reported the theft to police and searched the car park in case the folder has been thrown away.
He added: “This course has been my life since September, and I don’t want whoever took it just to dump it.”
Anyone with information, or who finds the folders, should contact police or Jason on 07852-514440.
