Stunning model has star talent
A CHADDERTON teenager has been touted as a potential supermodel — by none other than Chadderton supermodel Karen Elson.
Paige Nunu, of Rosemary Road, was only 13 when the international supermodel visited North Chadderton School and picked her out as having star potential.
Three years on and the 6ft teenager is proving a real hit in front of the camera.
The 16-year-old regularly models for Nicky Oliver’s Salon in Manchester.
And her model looks recently helped the team win the Avant-Garde 2009 Award at the prestigious Black Hair and Beauty hairdressing awards in London.
Paige, who is studying for her AS Levels in English, media, business studies and sociology at North Chadderton Sixth Form, said: “I did want to become a model and having Karen tell me to pursue a career in modelling was a big boost.
“I’ve always been tall but didn’t used to like my height because I was always the tallest in my class and I stood out. But now I see it as a real advantage.”
The bright teenager has her sights on gaining a degree at university but wants to combine her studies with modelling.
Proud mum Liz Fisher said: “The tall gene runs in our family.
“I’m 5ft 8ins and her 20-year-old brother Jordan is 6ft 3ins.
“I think she doesn’t realise how successful she can be but I know she wants to complete her education before looking into full-time modelling.”
