Club hosts ‘live’ night
Date published: 24 September 2009
Oldham club brand Rude is to host a night of groundbreaking live funky house complete with decks, saxophones and vocals.
Live will take place at the Castle, in Union Street, on Saturday, with stints from Rude regulars James Teehan, Danny Kay, Debbie&Vicki and newcomer Adam Knight.
Tony “The Sax”’ Christian will be providing the live music while singer Emma Ellis will be adding vocals to a selection of house anthems.
Promoter DJ Oz said: “After an amazingly successful eight months at the Castle with all events so far selling out with some awesome guest DJs and club brands, we decided to do something we haven’t done before and freshen things up a bit which is where the idea for the “live” night came from.
“We know the Castle has an amazing reputation for live music already so we thought lets combine the two things that we’re good at — Rude for hosting house music events and the Castle for putting on a fresh and exciting live show.”
Advance tickets for Live are £7 and are available by calling 07771-557 454 or logging on to www.myspace.com/rudeoldham
