ARTISTS and art providers in Oldham are invited to the launch of a new website and interactive service.
The Arts Room aims to bring together individuals and companies from the creative industries with organisations running community arts projects across Oldham.
A website, www.theart sroom.co.uk, offers an impartial resource for artists and providers to network, explore work opportunities and generate work in the local community.
The site also hosts a large number of quality images showcasing examples of community arts activities currently taking place across the borough.
Artists, creative practitioners, teachers and workshop leaders are invited to the official launch of the project at The Museum, Greaves Street, on Wednesday, from 3 to 5pm,
A short film and presentation will introduce the project, with laptop computers available for people to access The Arts Room website.

Councillor John McCann, cabinet member for community services and housing, said: “The Arts Room puts Oldham on the map for innovative arts work in the North-West.
