CAUGHT on CCTV — robbery suspect
POLICE have released CCTV footage of a man suspected of robbing a teenage boy.
The 17-year-old victim met the offender at a taxi rank in Oldham town centre in the early hours of Saturday, July 11.
They began to walk to Shaw but as they reached Ramsden Street the offender grabbed the victim’s mobile phone and aggressively demanded further items including his i-Pod.
The robber then ran off into the housing estate after telling the victim to walk away.
PC David Cunniffe said: “The victim was not injured but was left very shaken by this robbery and I would appeal to anyone that recognises the suspect to call police.”
The offender is described as white, aged around 27 years, 5ft 8in tall, and of slim build.
