YOUNG carers helped contribute to a £10,000 fundraising target by taking on a 2,413-metre climb in Oldham.
A group of 50 young carers from across Oldham scaled the equivalent of the national Three Peaks at Mahdlo Youth Zone's indoor climbing wall.
The eight to 18-year-olds managed to conquer 1,344 metres - representing Ben Nevis, 978 metres up Scafell Pike and 91 metres of Snowdon - in an impressive four hours and 30 minutes.
Each participant has been fundraising individually for the Virtual Climbing Challenge to contribute to the Positive Steps Challenge 2017, whereby the charity hopes to raise £10,000 for their Oldham Young Carers project.
Young Carer Project Worker Katy Pete said: "The Virtual Climbing Challenge was a brilliant opportunity for the young people who use the Oldham Young Carers service to really challenge themselves and raise money.
"A total of £308.50 was raised by the young carers, which will go towards funding activities for the group throughout the year.
"The climbing instructors at Mahdlo were brilliant in helping us to run the event and the young people involved were fantastic at climbing and supporting one another. We are really proud of what they achieved yesterday."
