A NIGHT of music, raffles and auctions will be dedicated to Tommy Nuttall, who died earlier this month aged 28.
The event, A Night at the Musicals, is being held at Royton Band Club at 7pm on Saturday, and will feature live music from organiser and performer Rachel Kelly, who was a close friend to Tommy, who died on August 7.
Tommy, from Royton, had vowed to never stop looking for his lost brother, Ciaran, who went missing in 2011, but he died just over 17 months after his mother had passed away.
Funds raised on the night will go towards Ambitions Oldham, a not-for-profit community group which provides support for young people and adults with physical or learning disabilities.
Formed in 2012, Ambitions Oldham relies on volunteer support to run its activity programme.
Rachel said her and Tommy were best friends who did everything together and had performed together at fundraising events.
His death was made harder for Rachel because they had had a falling out and hadn't patched things up.
She said: "It is going to be hard singing one of his favourite songs without him - hopefully, I can make it through.
"When Tommy's brother, Ciaran, went missing we got a group of friends together to perform at a fundraiser for the missing people charity. They dropped off, but me and Tom stayed on."
Rachel added: "I have known him for 17 years. When I first started singing with Tommy I was very shy and he really pushed me. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have had the confidence to do it."
At the event, there will be a buffet, an auction, raffle and tombola prizes including Manchester United signed football, a signed hockey stick from Olympic gold medallist Nicola White, Oldham Athletic tickets and much more.
Tickets are £5 adults and £3 children. Contact Rachel on 07972 041491.
