A POPULAR former Shaw pub is no more after being flattened in just days.
The Chronicle reported last Wednesday how demolition had begun at the Cricketer's Arms to make way for eight three-bedroom houses and two two-bedroom apartments.
Within days the pub is just rubble as workmen set about levelling the site.
The Milnrow Road boozer, known in the mid-1990s as The Moulders' Arms, has stood vacant and boarded up for more than 12 months.
Clements Court Properties, who took ownership from Enterprise Inns plc, have plans to build a series of terraced homes on the corner plot, five of which will have en-suites.
A planning application is yet to be submitted to Oldham Council.
