Fire crews get in on the action

MANGLED wreckage in Oldham town centre brought home the potentially fatal consequences of dangerous driving.
Fire fighters cut casualties free from two cars to highlight what can happen when people speed, use their mobile phone behind the wheel or drive under the influence of drink or drugs.
Officers from Oldham and Chadderton took part in the demonstration in Parliament Square with the victims played by volunteers.
It was organised by Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and people could also try a driving simulator which re-created the conditions of driving while answering text messages or while impaired.
